It goes without saying that our alpine athletes are immersed in an environment that rewards work ethic with athletic success. What makes GMVS unique in the world of ski academies is that we offer top ski racing opportunities in a community with theater and arts, extracurricular sports and unmatched excellence in academic achievement.
We offer a diverse and experienced coaching staff with access to several training venues (shown in the weekly training schedule). These resources allow us to address the individual needs of each racer and provide staffing for races and training without compromising efficiency and safety.
Training is available year round. In the summer, the more competitive ski racers participate in intense strength and condition training and at least one on-snow camp. In the fall and spring, students have two daily rigorous dry land training blocks. The workouts focus on strength, balance and conditioning. Students participating in soccer and/or lacrosse, practice their team sport during one of the daily training blocks. Athletes are also given the oppurtunity to attend on-snow training camps abroad in the Fall.
