Year Round Conditioning Program
The year round conditioning program at GMVS is one of the main ingredients of our highly successful alpine program. Under the supervision of Dani Koch, Director of Conditioning, athletes spend hours building their strength, agility and power during the off-season. The Fall and Spring Schedules revolve around 2 daily training blocks. Athletes who choose to play soccer in the Fall and/or lacrosse in the Spring have team practice during one of the daily training blocks. Non-team athletes have an alternative training plan that involves the agility and endurance that soccer and lacrosse provide. During the second daily block, athletes are in the gym, and lifting room working on strength progression, agility, or endurance.
Mountain biking: is incorporated to the conditioning program.
In the summer, the most competitive ski racers continue their conditioning program either on campus or at home. Every athlete who requests a summer conditioning plan is provided one by the school.
