Nordic Training Facilities

Trapp Family Lodge

Located in Stowe, Vermont our primary training ground in the winter, with over 100 kilometers of groomed track and backcountry trails. Impeccable grooming and challenging terrain provide high quality skiing.

Ethan Allen Biathlon Training Center

Located in Jericho, Vermont this trail system is complete with biathlon range, night skiing and snowmaking capabilities, and allows our Nordic and Biathlon athletes to train at the same venue. Athletes receive shooting coaching by Algis Shalna from the US Biathlon Association.

Ole's Cross Country Center

Located just a few miles from campus. We utilize this picturesque trail network for easy workouts and amazing crust cruising. On Tuesdays we join the local Bill Koch club during their weekly meeting.

Catamount Trail

A three hundred mile trail that bisects Vermont from north to south. The winter-use trail utilizes remote wilderness routes, groomed cross-country ski trails, snowmobile trails and old logging roads to provide limitless adventure.

The Doug Parker Memorial Gymnasium.

Our Gymnasium is the center of our dryland training. In its vast space, we organize regeneration sessions, as well as indoor soccer, tennis, basketball, cardio and strength based training. The gym is conveniently located next to the Doug Parker Sports Center and the Flex Term Dorm.

The Doug Parker Sports Center.

Completed in the spring of 2002, the Doug Parker Sports Center is a multipurpose facility. It further strengthens our resolve for providing the best possible environment for all of our students and athletes.

The Doug Parker Sports Center houses coaches' offices, technical ski room, video analysis/capture, regeneration facility, weightlifting, Swimex, student center, and Poulin Performance; our in-house physical therapist.

Poulin Performance

GMVS is fortunate to have a full medical and rehabilitation facility located on campus. Poulin Performance has offices in the Olympiad Health Club in South Burlington, Gregory Drive facility and at GMVS. Poulin is responsible for all specific training, stretching and rehabilitation needs of our athletes, including Flex Term.
