Senior David Sinclair went to the New England Cross Country
Championships on Saturday on a mission: avenge his photo-finish loss at the
State meet. He accomplished his goal, finishing as the first Vermonter in
42nd place overall (out of 266) on the muddy and flat course in Manchester,
CT. Avoiding pileups at several tight corners of the course, David defeated
his closest Vermont rival by 17 seconds, and bested the VT Division I
champion by 31 seconds, as he averaged 5:34 per mile.
