Joe Swensson '04

"Some specific goals of mine for this season are to be on top of the podium in Nor-Am Speed events, podium in Europa Cup Speed events, and work my way onto the World Cup and US Ski Team.  Being at GMVS has allowed me to pursue these goals and gives me a chance to help younger athletes chase their own dreams as well.  A big part of my role at GMVS is to be a mentor to the kids and its been a great experience for me theses past two years.  I am able to do my own training and focus on my own agenda; but at the same time, it gives me a chance to give back to the ski racing community and pass along my knowledge of the sport."
